White sangria is the perfect fruity summer cocktail. A combination of white wine, mango, strawberries, raspberries, and orange, it’s sweet, easy to make, and presents beautifully. It’s also a bit softer and lighter than my red sangria recipe – though both are delicious!

A glass of white sangria

This white sangria recipe is the perfect cocktail for spring and summer because it’s bursting with fruity vibes. It’s also super easy to make and looks like you put much more effort into it than you did. We all love a no-fuss cocktail, right?

Another reason I love this white sangria recipe – it’s crisp, fresh, delicious, and can be made in advance for a party, barbecue, or any outdoor gathering. The flavors meld together beautifully as it sits and it can be enjoyed all day!

Ingredients for white sangria on a table

White Sangria Ingredients

  • White Wine: Any white wine that’s dry with fruity notes is ideal for this kind of sangria, so you’ve got plenty of options! For more notes on this, see the section below.
  • Liquor: My go-to is Cointreau, but any orange-flavored liquor works.
  • Fruits: I’m putting summer fruits front and center with mango, orange, strawberries, and raspberries. Plus, it makes for a beautiful pitcher of orange-red colors. But use any summer fruits you like!
  • Garnish: You can enjoy the white sangria as is. But if you’re serving this at a dinner party, add some fresh mint leaves to make each cocktail extra special.

How to Make White wine Sangria

If you watch the video below, you’ll see how easy it is to make white wine sangria. But here’s the quick version in three steps:

  • Slice up all the fruit (minus the raspberry) and toss it in a tall pitcher. I’ve linked my favorite pitcher below in the recipe card!
  • Pour the Cointreau and the entire bottle of wine into the pitcher. Then stir everything together until well combined.
  • Chill for at least 3 hours to let the flavors meld together.

What Wine is Best for White Sangria?

There’s no need to splurge on expensive or high-quality wine. I usually opt for a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, but any fruity, dry white wine will do. You’re just going to let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours anyway, to soak up all that fruit goodness.

In fact, because the white sangria soaks in the refrigerator for a few hours, I also don’t add any additional sugar. I like my cocktails on the skinny side, but if you’d like it a bit sweeter, feel free to add a pinch of sugar or stevia.

One Last white Sangria Tip

When serving, it’s best to pour this into glasses with ice. Not only does it keep the white sangria cold on a warm day, but it’ll also prevent you from drinking too much too fast. Also, don’t add ice to the pitcher because that will dilute it!

I made the mistake of drinking the large glass you see below without ice and it was probably the equivalent of two glasses of white wine (which is a lot for me). About 15 minutes later, I took a lovely nap on my patio, ha!

  1. This fruity white sangria looks refreshing and perfect for summer gatherings! I love the combination of fruit and wine, and the addition of sparkling water makes it even more appealing. Can’t wait to try this recipe at my next party!

  2. First time making this and boy I am glad I did. It’s smooth and delicious on a hot day. My husband fried some fish and shrimp and salad with watermelon with this cool drink complete it all. Will make it again and again. This will be my summer sangria.5 stars

    1. There’s no need to splurge on expensive or high quality wine. I usually opt for a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, but any fruity, dry white wine will do.

  3. This is delicious!!
If I’m letting it sit overnight can I use frozen mangoes and strawberry in it or is it best to stick with fresh fruit?5 stars

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed it! And yes, you can use frozen fruit. Frozen fruit will just get softer than fresh fruit.

  4. Can I not use mango?
What is a substitute for good taste?
    Can I add raspberries?
    I’ve never made this before

    1. You can substitute mangos for other fruits such as more berries, apples, or citrus fruits. You can reference my other sangria recipe for some fruit combo ideas!

  5. If I want to make this in a 2.4 gallon container for a party, how many times should I scale up/multiple this recipe?

  6. Hi Lisa! This looks absolutely delicious, I can’t wait to try it! I just wanted to ask whether you think it’s possible to use a different type of liquor, or omit it completely? And can you use canned mango instead of fresh? Thanks a lot!5 stars

    1. Hi Chiara- This is best made with wine, since that’s what sangria is typically made of. But, you can always omit the wine to add sparkling water and a juice instead!

  7. Love it! Great recipe. I only had a glass of white wine left. So I mixed everything in a 16oz tumbler with ice cubes. Perfect!5 stars

  8. Hi Lisa,
This is a wonderfully refreshing recipe! Thanks for sharing. Also, where are your glasses and pitcher from? Love them and need to buy new of both.

    Thanks,

    1. Thanks so much Sheri! I’m happy you loved the recipe. :) The pitcher is linked in the recipe notes at the bottom and unfortunately those glasses are super old, so I don’t have a link for them.

  9. This cocktail looks soooo fresh and full of delicious flavours – such a perfect idea for a hot summer day with friends :) 5 stars

    1. Totally, Sylvie! Thanks for the kind comment and enjoy this White Sangria! :)

  10. This is such a lovely sangria recipe! Perfect for brunch or summer afternoon drink. Can’t wait to make this.5 stars

    1. Thank you, Sharon! It’s so fruity and delicious! You’ll love it! :)

  11. This is so pretty and the perfect drink for summer! I love the photos and styling too, the fruit looks delicious.5 stars

  12. Love this recipes lyhough fruit soaks up the qune so i would add 1/2 of a bottle more to the full recipes so for two batches i would add another bottle of wine5 stars

  13. Hi Lisa.  I will be making this in larger volume for a party tomorrow.  Any thoughts for putting it in one of those beverage dispensers?  Possibly some fruit in & then some outside for folks to add so they don’t miss out on the fruit?  And possibly the reusable ice cubes to keep it cold but not dilute???  Sounds delish, can’t wait to try!

    1. Hi Laurie – I think it would be fine in a beverage dispenser, especially if you have fruit on the side. I’d also keep fresh ice cubes available as you probably do want to dilute it a bit in each glass…otherwise your guests may end up a bit tipsy. Haha. Enjoy! :) x

  14. So I love this recipe. I just want to know if it can be stored in a cooler for about two days. I’m making a large batch for my wedding and need to make this 2days prior. And suggestions?

    1. That should be no problem. But just be aware that the fruit will likely start to break down. Usually I tell people to drink it within 3 days. :) Hope you enjoy it at your wedding – and congratulations! :) x

    1. I usually use a sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio. You don’t need anything fancy or expensive, just a dry, fruity white wine will do. Hope you like it! :)

      1. Thanks! I made it and it is as delicious as it sounds! I made one alteration: I used Patron Citronage Mango flavor instead of the Cointreau. It really bumps up the mango in it. Thanks for an awesome white sangria recipe!

      2. Oooh, I’ve never tried that Patron but it sounds amazing – and perfect for this recipe. Will have to go buy it! :) x

      3. If you’re not familiar, the Citronage is a line of liqueurs made by Patron. The original that I knew of is Orange Citronage – it’s just their version of triple sec. When I went to my liquor store, I happened to see it in the Mango flavor and thought, that should be perfect! It added the triple sec feel that your recipe called for, but with added mango taste. Thanks again for a definite keeper in my book!

      4. I just Googled it and I’m so excited to grab a bottle. I love anything mango (Cruzan Mango Rum is also a fave), so this is right up my alley. Thanks for the tip! :) x

  15. Looks incredible Lisa!
(I still drool over that kitchen everyone I visit your site)

  16. Such a gorgeous summer beverage! Wishing you a fabulous Easter and celebration – sounds like a fun end to the weekend. We’re supposed to get lots of rain here, so my annual Easter brunch will definitely be indoors; but no worries, it’ll still be fabulous :)
